TASK FOR AWS DB MIGRATION

 

1. Open the RDS ports from on prem and  open the Ports in RDS for on prem
2. DMS replication Instance needs to be created in AWS.
3. In On-prem DB server, open the RDS and Replication instance Ports.
4. In replication Instance open the On-prem and RDS ports both.
5. Request for 1 generic user to be created in source DB for migration.
6. Source Endpoint and Target Endpoint need to be created on AWS.
7. Create Task for migration in DMS.
8. Perform the migration post validation of TASK, endpoints connectivity, replication instances, schema and others.
